Lost Planet 3 is the upcoming latest entry of the Lost Planet series; the game is the prequel to Lost Planet: Extreme Condition and Lost Planet 2, taking place on the planet E.D.N.III. The game will be more alike the first one for the single player campaign mode, with a more story driven approach. Players will be able to take on main story missions as well as sub-missions: most sub-missions are found by talking to non playable characters found during the game.
The game’s single player mode won’t be the only thing going on for the new Lost Planet title: Lost Planet 3 will also feature an extensive multiplayer mode. Capcom has revealed some new details on the multiplayer modes which will be available for play. Six total multiplayer maps will be available together with two different factions: NEVEC forces and Snow Pirates.
Scenario mode sets each team in a series of both offensive and defensive challenges, mixing them up with the extreme and unpredictable conditions of E.D.N. III.
Akrid Survival mode sees two different teams of players trying to survive waves of hostile akrid: once all the waves have been defeated, a final round will pit the two teams against each other.
Lost Planet 3 will be released for Ps3, Xbox 360 and Pc on August 30th.
