Dragon’s Crown has been in development for quite some time, being revealed for the first time during E3 2011. The game’s development now is almost done and it will be released soon in Japan. Dragon’s Crown has also been confirmed for a Western release on both Ps3 and PsVita: most online retailers had an August 6th release date which was yet to be confirmed by Atlus.
A post on the Official Playstation Blog a few hours ago has confirmed that Dragon’s Crown will finally be available in North America on the rumored release date, on August 6th. And that’s not all: Vanillaware is currently working to include a cross-save feature between the two versions of the game.
Dragon’s Crown gameplay experience will have a big focus on co-op multiplayer: players will be able to take on the many missions offered by the game together with other players. Creating a balanced team will definitely be one of the keys to success, considering how the available classes all have their strong and weak points. The game’s replay value will also be enhanced by the multiple paths available in each mission, with each one opening depending on player’s actions during the stages themselves.
