A few days ago we saw a Korean rating for the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection for the PS3, which was sure enough proof that fans on the PS3 were going to get a chance to snag a pretty nifty set of the Metal Gear Solid games sometime soon, but we hadn’t heard anything official yet. That has all changed as Konami has released a press release this afternoon officially confirming that the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection will be coming to the PlayStation 3 console this June.
To commemorate Metal Gear Solid’s 25th birthday, Konami has put together a package for fans of the series that they believe will blow them away, including; Metal Gear Solid, the HD Collection versions of Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and Peace Walker, as well as the Trophy Edition of Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Solid 4: VR Missions and two digital graphic novels by Ashley Wood. It might be a tough sell for those who already own all of the games, but there will always be collectors for Collector’s Editions.
They’ve announced the collection for North and South America in June, no solid date yet.
