Apologies to any French people who may be reading this article, but tonight is all about my beloved country doing what they do best on the enormous European stage… playing for a draw! Yes, I’m sure you’ve all tuned in for the past few nights to see Denmark shock Holland, to see Spain get outplayed by Italy – but perhaps some of you will be tuning in to ITV1 tonight for a completely different reason (and no, not for Adrian Chiles…)
Microsoft have hit the big one so hard they’ve nearly knocked out mid-Superbowl advertising! Not only does tonight’s game mark the beginning of England/France’s European 2012 adventure, but it also marks the worldwide TV premier of the extended “Halo 4″ trailer – debuted by Microsoft at their E3 keynote in Los Angeles last week.
For fans of the Halo series, this stunning live-action trailer will air at half time on ITV1 (roughly 5:45pm in the UK) offering a tantalizing taste of the Halo 4 storyline, planet Requiem, the terrifying new threat and of course, Master Chief in all his green-suited glory.
The following is from Microsoft’s press release:
Showcased at last week’s Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, “Halo 4″
marks the return of Master Chief and the beginning of a new saga in the blockbuster
franchise that has shaped entertainment history, selling more than 40 million games
worldwide. Developed by 343 Industries, “Halo 4″ launches on 6 Nov. 2012, delivering
the most epic and explorative Halo campaign yet, together with groundbreaking
multiplayer and episodic co-op action.
