Nintendo Direct is increasingly becoming a very exciting event and a great source for Nintendo announcements. Nintendo are planning broadcasts for both North America and Europe this week on Thursday, 17 April, focused again entirely on the 3DS.
For you American viewers, the broadcast starts at 7 a.m. Pacific/10 a.m. Eastern time, while British Nintendo fans will want to tune in at 3pm UK time. Nintendo Direct has broadcast in North America, Europe and Japan many times, but this is the first time that I can recall that Nintendo have done this in two territories on the same day. What could this mean? If I were to speculate, I’d say something big could be happening.
The last 3DS Nintendo Direct special was a pretty big deal, with announcements of Mario And Luigi: Dream Team, Mario Golf: World Tour and Donkey Kong Country 3D. They could well be preparing for more big announcements, though at this point it would make sense for them to save everything else secret until E3. Maybe they’ll play it safe and show us more of Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Pokemon X and Y?
