The Elder Scrolls series has never been so active as it recently is: Skyrim is still going strong on all formats and Bethesda is developing the first online entry of the series. However The Elder Scrolls Online won’t probably be the only upcoming game of the saga, according to a recent entry in the Australian Classification Database found by games.on.net.
The Elder Scrolls: Arena has been rated last week, on April 9 with a M rating. Other than this not much information is provided, except that there’s going to be Moderate Violence and that the game is going to be a multi-platform release.
The game could be a remake of the original The Elder Scrolls: Arena game, released back in 1994 on MS-DOS. The game takes place on the continent of Tamriel as usual, featuring wilderness, dungeons, an open world gameplay experience and a special spell creation system. The game has been made available for free in 2004 by Bethesda as part of the 10th anniversary of the series. The game was called “Arena” because it wasn’t supposed to be a role playing game: players were supposed to create a team of fighters and travel from arena to arena to obtain glory inside arenas.
