It looks like The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask might be making a sneak return as a Wii U remake or reboot as revealed at Nintendo’s Pre-E3 conference.
We’ve been waiting on a Majora’s Mask remake since Nintendo revealed the 3DS remake of Ocarina of Time, but our hopes and dreams were dashed over and over again when Nintendo outright refused to comment on whether or not such a remake would be making it’s way to 3DS.
However, in a teaser trailer shown earlier, we might be getting a remake on Wii U some time in the near future. Whether or not this is the first hints at a remake and not just a tech demo to show off the Wii U capabilities (Anyone remember the Final Fantasy 7 trailer for PS3?).
We get to see the first moments of Majora’s Mask, after Link has been cursed to be a Deku. The Happy Mask Salesman makes an appearance and various omens telling us of the experience flash across the screen.
Nintendo failed to announce this at their E3 conference, but does that mean it’s coming to 3DS instead? Maybe they want to keep the cat in the box on this one. The future is still uncertain, and with a 3DS exclusive conference later tonight, we may yet see more news on this title.
