Earlier this week we have received some good news regarding Shin Megami Tensei IV: the game’s North American release has been officially confirmed by Atlus.
As we get nearer the Japanese release, happening on May 23, more gameplay videos are becoming available. Earlier today Atlus has updated the game’s official site with three short gameplay clips.
The three clips show demon gathering, with the demon Karasu Tengu joining the party, demon against demon battles and one of the most important features of the game: demon fusion. The fusion clip shows how the angel Power has been created by fusing the demons Karasu Tengu and Setanta. The three clips have been uploaded on Youtube by Gematsu: simply head over here and start getting hyped for the first numbered entry of the series since 2004.
Shin Megami Tensei IV will refine the usual formula in a few ways; battles will become even more involving thanks to a new feature which grants extra turn to both allies and enemies. A lot of new demons will be introduced and the whole interface will be streamlined, requiring less menu passages during demon fusion and battle.
Shin Megami Tensei IV will officially launch in North America this Summer. The game has yet to be announced for Europe.
