Sim City’s launch may have been one of the most controversial of this generation but that still didn’t prevent more than a few gamers to buy the game. Now that the server situation has been greatly improved and the game is finally considered stable, Maxis will be working on fixing bugs and glitches of the game.
Some fixes will be introduced even before the 2.0 update releases: City rollbacks and lost progress will be fixed in the near future and some other highly requested features will be introduced like the Cheetah Speed and Leaderboards. These last two features are currently “Top Priority” for Maxis, according to senior producer Kim Katsarelis.
Update 2.0 will be fixing some more issues like the Recycling Center bug, the fire engine clumping and a few other. Street Cars efficiency will be improved and the radius of river water will be increased. Players enjoying the Casino in the game will also enjoy them more after Update 2.0 will be available since Maxis is going to make them more profitable.
Sim City requires an always on connection to function: despite EA saying that the game was built around this feature, a few players have been able to patch the game to run offline.
Sim City is currently available on Pc.
