Killer is Dead is the next game developed by Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture: more details have emerged today about the game’s structure and how the developers wanted to build the story of the game. The gameplay experience will also be influenced by the way the story will be structured.
Most of the new details have been unveiled at the recent GDC: according to Suda himself, Grasshopper’s boss, the idea is to mirror a TV Drama. The best way to experience the game would be to play an episode each day.
Suda wanted to great a more complex story that doesn’t happen overnight, that has a daily life with new objectives showing up every new day.
A new boss battle has also been shown: Victor will be the final boss of the “The Girl Who Lost Her Ear” episode. As expected, this boss will be quite over the top: Victor is collecting music from all over the world to amplify it in some sort of evil way and make the world a better place for him.
More details have also emerged for the battle system: players will be able to use strong, weak and punch attacks which can all be linked together into combos. Finishing moves will also be in: players will be able to choose how to finish their enemies.
Killer Is Dead will launch on Ps3 and Xbox 360 this Summer.
