Top Shot: The Game

2 min

Do you have what it takes to be considered the “Top Shot”? Well, thanks to Fifth Column Games new game, Top Shot: The Game, you have the chance to prove it to your friends. This game is based off of the popular History Channel show Top Shot and allows players to compete in a wide number of challenges. This game brings all the excitement from the show and successfully turns it into a fun and easy to play Facebook game.

One of the biggest pluses for this game is its ability to attract a wide variety of players. Obviously, it is able to draw in fans of the show, however, with simple controls and a wide range of difficulties, players of all types of skill and interest are able to enjoy the game. The controls are simple; players only need to aim with their mouse and click to fire. These simple controls ensure that players are able to get deep into the gameplay allowing them to play a number of different challenges. These challenges consist of many different things from shooting targets, such as balloons, lanterns, hats, and exploding targets, all of which may be either static or mobile. This ensures that once players are into the game, they can play unique challenges instead of doing the same thing over and over.

Another big draw for the game is the wide variety of real-life guns that players are able to use. For many players, especially those who are fans of the show, it is very exciting to get to test out all these different guns and see how they feel. The game does a good job in making sure that all of these guns are unique, from the way the aim, to the way they reload, players get a new feel every time they use a new gun. What personally blew me away with each gun was the sound affects, not only were they all unique, they all sounded very realistic, making the game much more enjoyable.

Though its simplicity and uniqueness makes it fun, what really makes Top Shot: The Game great is its competitiveness. Players are constantly informed on how well their friends are doing on certain challenges and gives them the motivation to try to beat those scores. Even if players do not have friends playing the game, they are rewarded for beating their own scores, which allows players to stay hooked on the game much longer.

Though almost everything about this game is great, it still has one huge downfall. It can often react slow to how players aim or shoot. This can become frustrating during more difficult challenges when every second counts. This is the only problem that I see the game having, however it is huge and really takes away from what could be an excellent game.

Fifth Column Games new Facebook shooting game, Top Shot: The Game, is a pretty well made game. This game combines the best of the show Top Shot into a fun and unique shooting game on Facebook. The different challenges, guns, and the competitive nature of the game ensure that players will be able to play a long time and not get bored. Though it has its issues with being slow and glitchy at some points, if players can overcome these problems the game has the opportunity to be very fun.
