Mojang had a certified hit on their resume when Minecraft was released as a beta a few years ago and are looking to do the same with Scrolls. While there might have been games that were like Minecraft in the past, games that might have even influenced Minecraft, it was able to do everything correctly and engage fans. Part of what made the game such a huge success was the way in which it was released. It was first released to the public as a paid beta, where you were promised updates to the game as they happened and your feedback was greatly appreciated.
In a way, while Minecraft might have had its official release, it is still growing with every release thanks to the community and updates are still being done to appease fans. Mojang looks to do the same thing with their upcoming release, Scrolls. Scrolls is set to be a fantasy card battling game, that of which we haven’t seen a ton about so far, but we will probably get a lot more information in the coming weeks as Mojang plans to do the beta release near the end of April to see where the game goes from there.
