The Witcher 3 will have 3 playable epilogues, according to CD Projekt Red. Speaking with Polygon, the studio’s managing director Adam Badowski explained how player choices will have a big effect on the ending you will get. They stated that the game will track all of the choices you make, and the game will be all your own.
This is will probably be very similar to how the Walking Dead game tracked your choices, and how the characters felt towards you. I loved how it changed my game in the Walking Dead, and I can’t wait to see what CD Projekt will do with that concept.
“The game is quite complex,” Badowski said. “We didn’t mean to develop something special for the endings, it’s a natural consequence of the story line. The story has hundreds of different branches and sub plots. We have to just sum all of those elements up in the epilogues. Some of those elements are taken from the very beginning and some from other moments of the storyline. All of them will connect in the epilogue. We have a lot of things to summarize. We didn’t spend time on inventing endings, it was just the consequence of those choices.” I can’t wait for The Witcher 3, especially since it’s coming to the PS4.
