Terraria is a popular indie sandbox game, developed by Re-Logic on Pc and set to release on Ps3 and Xbox 360 next week. Terraria on consoles won’t be a simple port since it will receive a lot of new features like improved controls, new boss battles and split screen support. While the Ps3 and Xbox 360 versions are ready to go, there’s a chance the game may be getting released on PsVta as well in the near future.
A representative of 505 Games, who’s publishing the Ps3 version of the game, has answered a question on Reddit regarding a possible PsVita version of the game. This representative said to “stay tuned” since this question may get answered next week; he also added that the possibility might get ruled out entirely but then again there wouldn’t be any wait if that was going to be the announcement.
With a few other indie titles coming on PsVita, a Terraria release doesn’t seem so unlikely and we might really get to play the game on our handheld console in the near future. A PsVita version could even get some cross-platform features like cross-play and cross-save. More details will be reported as soon as they’ll be available this week.
