New details have been revealed about the Ps3 and Ps4 version of Diablo III, hitting both consoles before the end of the year. According to a recent report, both versions will have an offline mode: up to four players will be able to play together in an offline co-op mode. Players will also be able to play the game solo without any problem.
As a result of the inclusion of the offline mode, Blizzard has removed the real money action house. Lead Designer Joshua Mosquiera stated that some technical issues are behind this choice: if players are playing offline, there’s no real way to validate and making sure there’s no duping or some other unwanted activity in the action house. The choice was between the offline mode and the action house: Blizzard felt that the console “ecosystem” made the offline mode a better choice, making them drop the auction house altogether.
This new details confirm how much effort Blizzard is putting in this port: among the changes are a new interface, new menus and new controls, to allow player to play the game with ease with the use of the Dual Shock controller. The game will be a fresh experience even for those who may have played the game already on PC.
Diablo III has been announced for Ps3 and Ps4 so far but apparently this doesn’t mean that the game will be a Sony exclusive, as Blizzard stated a few days ago.
