A new Skyrim title update has become available earlier this week for the Pc version, introducing a new difficulty level and changes for some gameplay elements. Bethesda has announced today on the Elder Scrolls official Twitter account that the 1.9 title update will heading for console certification next week, meaning that the update is getting closer to release for the Ps3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. Once the certification process is complete, it’s up to Sony and Microsoft to make the patch available for their uses.
The 1.9 title update introduced the Legendary difficulty setting for Skyrim together with the actual removal of the game’s level cap: players will be able to reset any skill which has been previously maxed out, allowing for the skill to be leveled up again to gain additional perk points. Previously obtained perk points won’t be lost as well, effectively allowing characters to level up their stats further than before. The level cap removal was a necessity for the new difficulty level, as Pc players have discovered this week.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now available on Ps3, Xbox 360 and Pc. The three DLC packs released for the game are currently available for all versions of the game.
