Persona 3 and Persona 4 are widely viewed as some of the best RPG’s to be released in the past ten years. So the big question for most Atlus fans is, when can we expect any news on the next Persona game in the series? Well Atlus designer, Katsura Hashino wouldn’t say anything specific about the game during an interview; he did say however that the team is “working hard” on the next Persona game.
Atlus seems to want to keep Persona 5 as big a secret as possible, to the point where people tend to forget it is even in development. However, we do know that Persona 5 has been in development for a while now, but we know basically next to nothing about the game. We don’t even know if the game is going to be released for current gen consoles or is being targeted for next gen consoles.
So from time to time Atlus likes to have members of the development team like Hashino remind us the game still is in development and to be patient. Hopefully Atlus will finally show the game off this year at either E3 or more likely the Tokyo Game Show. For fans of the series, what would you like to see in the next iteration of the Persona series? Personally, the one thing I would like are endings that are specific to the social links you develop.
