Tomb Raider, the latest in the series from Crystal Dynamics, serving as a reboot to the series, has been played by a whole lot of people and they’ve raided a whole lot of tombs. According to some official numbers provided by Square Enix this morning, players across the world have been putting in the work in the latest installment of Tomb Raider and guiding Lara Croft through a ton of adventures. We grow accustomed to publishers releasing impressive stats about their games after release, but it really does show that Tomb Raider and Lara Croft have a strong position in the world of gaming right now.
According to Square Enix’s official blog, Lara Croft has raided 3,570,956 tombs since Tomb Raider’s release on March 5th. What’s even more impressive is that players have equipped Lara Croft with the bow and dispatched an amazing 147,675,058 baddies with that bow. Over 20 million of those kills have come by the way of fire arrows, too, which is probably the best way to make ‘em squirm. But don’t worry, Square Enix is giving credit to players, too, as they’ve salvage over 356,988,302 arrows from fallen enemies as well, showing that you can never waste a good arrow.
