Platform games lovers, get your 3DS consoles ready for the return of Donkey and Diddy Kong: Nintendo has confirmed a few minutes ago that Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will hit the West during May.
The game was originally released as Donkey Kong Country Returns on Wii back in 2010: developed by Retro Studios, the game is a 2.5D platform game featuring 3D graphics but 2D gameplay. The game featured an impressive graphical style as well as a nice gameplay experience, evolving the Donkey Kong Country gameplay formula with some features like the silhouettes stages and co-op multiplayer features.
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is currently being developed by Monster Games who ‘s rebuilding the game from the ground up, as Satoru Shibata stated when the game was announced a month ago. Details are scarce regarding possible additions to the game.
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is actually going to release a little before the estimated release window: the game was announced as a Summer release but it looks like developers have been working so hard on the game that they’re able to release it a bit sooner than expected.
The May 24 release date as been confirmed for both North America and Europe.
