Aliens: Colonial Marines has been in development for a long time before finally getting released at the beginning of March. The first person shooter, based on the Aliens franchise, hasn’t been received well by critics, noticing how the game lacks a true gameplay direction. There are a lot of technical issues as well, marking the game as a really mediocre title. Still, the game managed to do decently on the market and Gearbox has decided to support the game with a few updates and patches.

The Xbox 360 and Ps3 version have already been patched, fixing some of the game’s issues. A Pc update will be launched very soon with a major patch including all the console versions’ fixes with some more Pc version exclusive tweaks. The Pc patch will include HD textures and mouse smoothing as well as some more yet to be announced fixes. The Pc version probably suffered more than the console versions for all the issues so it’s a good thing that we’re finally getting a patch.

No news on a possible release date have been given. Full patch notes will be available once the update goes live.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is currently available on Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC.
