Phantom Pain is one of the most mysterious games ever announced: the early game’s footage looks absolutely incredible but we don’t know who’s truly behind this game. Apparently, the game is getting developed by Moby Dick Studios, a swedish team which hasn’t really worked on anything else up until now. With Hideo Kojima and part of his staff seen at the first unveiling of the game wearing Phantom Pain themed T-Shirts, many thought that this is another KojiPro project and actually tied to the Metal Gear Solid series. The main character also looks like Solid Snake, making speculations even more wild.

Moby Dick Studios head Joakim Mogren stated during a recent interview with Gametrailer TV that a new trailer for the game will be shown during  the Game Developers Conference ’13, happening next week. Some new screens of the game have been shown and some of them sported the FOX Engine logo. Mogren also stated that the new trailer will answer all our questions regarding the game.

With Hideo Kojima teasing an announcement during his presentation at GDC, there’s a high chance that Phantom Pain will finally be revealed as a Metal Gear Solid game since everything seems to point towards Kojima and his studio. The presentation will also be streamed live so get ready for this new trailer and announcement coming next week.
