While Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory is still unreleased in the West, getting released in a few days in North America and Europe, new details have emerged for the next game of the series set to launch this summer in Japan. Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP is going to keep the same plot style of its predecessors, featuring a funny and over the top story making a parody of the gaming industry.
Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP is not going to be a role-playing game like the previous game but a game pretty close to another Japanese success, Idolmaster: the player will be a producer and will be able to choose four CPUs to create a show. During Adventure Mode players will be able to increase the parameters for each CPU and help them became true idols.
Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia is going to use the PsVita touch screen to allow gamers to “touch” these CPUs. The CPUs have different reactions depending on where you touch them.
The game is currently being developed by Compile Heart together with Tamsoft, who’s handling the 3D modeling.
Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP is going to be released on June 20 in Japan on PsVita. A Western release seems highly unlikely.
