The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is being developed as an open world game, but it will not be hindered at all by load times according to one report. CD Projekt RED quest designer Pawel Sasko confirmed that the Witcher 3 would not have loading times when traversing the world. The elimination of loading times is thanks to the more powerful hardware and the improved engine that CD Projekt RED is working with according to Sasko.
Even with the new technology, it is surprising to see the elimination of loading times in an open world game that is as big as the Witcher 3 world will be. According to reports, the Witcher 3 will be about 20% bigger than Skyrim, so to have no loading times in a world that large is impressive to say the least.
There was mention of this in a previous interview, but it was mentioned in passing and Sasko has given full confirmation of the good news. Witcher 3 is still a ways off as it is scheduled to be released sometime next year on PC and both new next generation consoles.
