Persona 4 Arena had risen to most gamers’ attention due to the fact that the game is the only region locked Ps3 game available. While this didn’t mean much to Japanese and North American gamer, the region lock prevented European players to import and enjoy the game as soon as it was launched back in August. The European version of the game was supposed to come around one month after the Japanese and North American releases but a lot of issues caused the release date to be delayed into 2013.
Some new information has emerged today regarding the European release of Persona 4 Arena: Zen United, the European publisher of the game, has confirmed through the official Persona Europe Facebook page that the Xbox 360 European build of the game is currently into the verification process. The publisher doesn’t know when it will pass, but the game may be headed for a May release. The European Ps3 build was already submitted a couple of weeks ago and as soon as the Xbox 360 build passes the verification process we will know more details about the release and finally have a real release date.
Persona 4 Arena is currently available on Ps3 and Xbox 360 in North America and Japan: the dual language option present in the game forced Atlus and Index to region lock the game in order to prevent low Japanese sales of the game thanks to the dollar-yen exchange rate.
