The upcoming The Last Of Us is one of the most anticipated Ps3 releases of 2013: the game is currently in development by Naughty Dog and it’s going to be quite a good game. The demo version of the game, coming together with the recently released God Of War: Ascension will only become playable only in a few months so players will have to wait a bit before being able to try the game out.
This morning new details have emerged about The Last Of Us: these are gameplay details so don’t worry about getting some parts of the story spoiled. The main character Joel will have his own hit detection and will react differently according to where he has been hit: if his arm has been wounded, he’ll hold his injured arm and so on. If the wounds are left unattended they will lead to blood loss and the screen will turn red. Taking care of wounds is going to be another gameplay element, requiring different treatments for different wounds.
Being wounded will also affect aiming: if the wound is not cured it will be impossible to shoot correctly and wasting bullets in the game is a no go, since they’re pretty rare.
Some new details are in regarding the listen mode which will allow gamers to see through walls. When playing with headphones it will be possible to locate enemies just by listening to the sounds they make: sound design in the Last Of Us is truly accurate and it will be fully integrated in the gameplay experience. Listen mode can be turned off at will.
The Last Of Us will launch on June 14th exclusively on Ps3.
