With a worldwide released scheduled on October 29th, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Fag is going to shock players with a lot of interesting features, with some of them being present for the first time ever in the series, like the true open world experience offered by this new title set in the Golden Age Of Piracy. With the game set to be released on next-gen consoles at the same time as current gen, many speculated that the new Sony and Microsoft consoles will be available on the market by that time.
A confirmation comes from a recent interview with AC IV creative director Jean Guesdon: when asked if there would be a delay between all the versions of the game, Guesdon replied with “Same ship”, pretty much confirming the simultaneous release. And since it’s not possible to release game for consoles not yet on the market, it’s almost sure that the Playstation 4 and yet to be named new Microsoft console will be out by then.
Still, the answer is a bit cryptic and Guesdon could have been referring only to current gen console versions. You can check out the full interview here, with the above question at 5:42.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will launch on Ps3, Xbox 360, Pc, Wii U and, as stated before, next generation consoles.
