The 2D platform-shooter A.R.E.S. Extinction Agenda, developed by Arcsys, will receive a Xbox 360 port in the near future. Arcsys themselves have announced the port this morning: A.R.E.S. Extinction Agenda EX will feature a lot of new content over the original version, as well as improved graphics and tweaked gameplay.
In A.R.E.S. Players control an advanced robot called Ares on a mission to dave the planet from destruction. The game is not too different from classic Megaman-Contra games, with hectic action, a lot of enemies to destroy, weapons to collect, dangers to avoid and big bad end level bosses: the game is a real joy to play and 2D nostalgics will surely love it.
The Xbox 360 port will receive new weapons, abilities and playable areas; bosses will be updated with new abilities so that veterans of the game will have to find new strategies to beat them. Old levels have also been slightly redesigned and improved. A new character will also become playable, adding some variety to the gameplay experience: the new character, Taurus, will be the main character in an all new storyline.
A.R.E.S Extinction Agenda EX will be developed by Extend Studio and Orgio Games and it will be released in the near future on Xbox 360.
