It is no secret that Far Cry 3 was a major success both critically and commercially for Ubisoft. So it is no surprise that Ubisoft is planning on continuing the Far Cry franchise. However, what is unexpected is they might actually be continuing the Far Cry 3 brand. A Brazilian classification ratings group has issued a rating for a game called Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is described as a first person shooter for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. No other news about the game is available at this time. Ubisoft has been upfront about the future of the Far Cry franchise as just last month they told fans they would not have to four years for the next Far Cry game.
Earlier this week Ubisoft did announce that Far Cry 3 would get some continuation content, but a lot of people assumed that meant some DLC packs and not a full new game. There is the possibility that Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is something of an expansion pack for Far Cry 3 in the same vein as Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen where it will include the full game and all new content. Ubisoft has yet to issue a statement about Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
