God Of War: Ascension has been reviewed on the latest issue of Famitsu and while the game has received a nice score, 9/9/9/9, we still didn’t know the details of the review itself: today some more information regarding the game have surfaced and probably a few fans won’t be too happy about this.

According to the Famitsu review the single player mode of God Of War: Ascension can be cleared in as little as eight hours: while it’s not clear on what difficulty level the reviewer has played, it’s still disappointing. It’s true that the game has a multiplayer mode but still, some gamers just wanted to experience the Story mode of the game.

This detail has been pretty much confirmed by director Todd Papy who stated that the game will take around 10/12 hours to complete. God of War: Ascension isn’t the only action game as of late to be incredibly short: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance can be cleared in around 7 hours on the normal difficulty level. Paying full price for a game which can be completed in a single sitting isn’t going to make buyers happy, that’s for sure.

We will have to wait for the game to be officially released to know the truth about its length: Ascension will release later this month exclusively on Ps3.
