In recent times Sony has pushed the PSN Store in a lot of different ways: as many gamers know, the japanese company has offered for many high profile titles a day 1 digital release on PSN. For some high proile games there have also been some digital preorder options, offering some extra goodies and an automatic download of the title, making it ready to go on the day of the official release.
With Ni No Kuni day 1 digital release, many role playing game fans thought this was going to become the norm for all upcoming Japanese role playing game but it doesn’t really look like it’s going to be the case: Nippon Ichi’s Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory won’t receive a day 1 digital release, as confirmed by Ryan Philips, Nippon Ichi America Marketing Coordinator with a comment on a Disgaea Dimension post on the Official Playstation Blog.
Judging from the wording there may actually never be a digital release for the game: Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 got a digital release some time after release but as of now there’s no talk on a possible digital release of the game.
Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory will be released on march 21 in North America and on March 22 in Europe exclusively on Ps3.
