SimCity has officially launched today, and it seems that EA’s digital store, Orgin, is having a few problems with getting the game distributed in a timely fashion.  We all know that the game has been anticipated for basically a decade, and tons of consumers are trying to get in on the action.  The reports come from Polygon, as they state that the situation is being handled with the utmost care.  Origin global community manager Marcel Hatam told Polygon,” We are still in the process of delivering SimCity to some U.S. customers, but the majority has been fulfilled.”  This is definitely reassuring for people who are experiencing problems, and it looks like they won’t have to wait long for the game.

On EA’s official forum, Origin community manager released the following statement regarding server issues and the excruciating waiting times that some people are experiencing.  ”Hey all, after going through this thread (and the many similar ones), let me first of all apologize to each and every one of you; as gamers ourselves, we absolutely appreciate how aggravating it is to sit there and not be able to play. So yes, we are very sorry for the delay, and I just hope that once you have started playing, you can enjoy the game itself its fullest, despite this experience!”
