If you have been playing Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance you already know that yuo can change Raiden’s appearance with various custom bodies: the Grey Fox skin was available for all first print run copies of the game while preordering the game in some stores awarded gamers with other different skins. There’s no performance change in Raiden by using these custom skins still, it’s nice to see a different cyborg ninja face once in a while: these skin also come with custom main weapons and some “special effects”, like with the Grey Fox costume.
A new, free skin will be available for all player who will subscribe to the new Konami rewards program called Konami CORE. The program is still in the beta testing phase and all players who will contribute in testing the site will receive the Metal Gear Solid 4 Raiden Skin: this skin is already available for purchase on the Playstation Network store and Xbox Live Marketplace but apparently its availability is going to be limited.
