Quantic Dream and Sony have finally given us a release date for the much anticipated Beyond: Two Souls. The game will launch on October 8th in the United States, release dates for other countries will be coming soon. However, that wasn’t the only good news we got today about Beyond: Two Souls; a new trailer for the game was released as well.

The new trailer features the newest confirmed cast member William Dafoe. Most of you will recognize Dofoe for his role as the Green Goblin in the first Spider-Man movie. The details about who Dafoe will be playing are a little on the spoiler side, so you may want to skip the rest of this paragraph if you are trying to avoid all spoilers. According to the press release, Dafoe will be playing a central role in the game as a scientist who studies paranormal activity. Apparently his character has “professional” interest in Jodie (Ellen Page) and is being driven by his “tragic back story.

As for the trailer it shows us a lot of new footage we haven’t seen before and it looks very interesting to say the least. Here is the newest trailer from Beyond: Two Souls:
