It looks like Metro: Last Light has resurfaced, and it’s heading to North America on May 14. Europe will be getting the game three days later, on May 17. Publisher Deep Silver announced the good news this morning, and it’s already getting fans excited for the game. The sequel to Metro 2033 was originally slated to release this month, but after THQ had to sell off most of their assets, the date had to be pushed back. The original game was wildly underrated, and I’m not sure that a lot of people played it, but that still doesn’t keep me from being excited for it.
“The new release date is the ideal way to strike the balance between bringing the best out of Metro: Last Light and not keep the fans waiting longer than necessary.” , stated Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media. “We won’t leave that time unexploited and will work closely together with 4A Games to make the game even better. It will receive all the attention it deserves.” Menno van der Bil, International Commercial Director of Deep Silver, added “Since it has been made public that we took over the Metro franchise, the fans keep asking for a release date. Now we can finally announce when they will be able to get their hands on the game! We would like to thank all of the Metro fans for their patience. And we can assure them that we have a lot more coming their way with the franchise.”
