Earlier today we have reported that Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2 will not be coming on Wii U. The game is a multiplatform release currently scheduled for Pc, Ps3 and Xbox 360 but it looks like the game won’t be hitting the new Nintendo home console anytime soon.
In the interview, David Cox stated that porting the game to Wii U would require more staff members and time, with the risk of the game getting delayed for the other versions, which are being developed all at the same time. This statement led almost everyone think that budget was the main problem, with some more speculation regarding a “cancelled” Wii U port of the game.
After reading all this, David Cox decided to clarify what was written in the Eurogamer article: the producer says that people misunderstood what he meant about the lack of staff. It’s not budget problems, simply a question of resources like time and space and most of all focus on what they’re doing.
David Cox also added that the rumors about the cancelled Wii U version are absolutely false: there never was a Wii U version to begin with so there can’t be any canned project.
For the time being, it looks Nintendo gamers will have to grab Castlevania: Mirror Of Fate on 3DS to quench their thirst for some Castlevania action.
