Battlefield 4 is still a long ways off, but it looks like the game is already shaping up to be another technical stunner in the long running franchise. Electronic Arts chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, confirmed today that the game will indeed becoming to the PS4. There was no word on the game making it too Microsoft’s next generation console, but we all know it’s coming to both systems. During the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference, Jorgensen responded to a question about EA’s absence from the NYC event. ”I’d say between now and E3 you’re going to see a lot of stuff from us. We’re very excited about Sony’s platform. The technical power on the platform is going to allow us to do a substantial amount of things we’ve never done before.” He also added a few notes regarding the next battlefield. ”I’ve seen the new Battlefield and it is stunning. It is just amazing what the imagination of the game developers are allowed to do with that much power.”
This is first confirmation we’ve gotten from EA that their next blockbuster shooter will be coming to the PS4, but there have been several rumors surrounding it. The absence of EA from Sony’s NYC event was a little bit suspicious, but you can almost guarantee that they’ll be at this year’s E3 convention, showcasing some new great titles.
