It seems like every developer and publisher continues to rave about the new Playstation hardware, and the Grid 2 developer, Codemasters, is just another developer that has nothing but good things to say about the system.  Codemasters senior executive producer Clive Moody answered many questions from Edge Online today, and the highlight was when a member of the Edge asked him about PS3 and PS4 development.

Moody responded with, “The general consensus amongst our guys is the architecture is a little easier to get our heads around. It’s no secret that PS3 was tough, very, very, bespoke architecture. It was something that took us and a lot of developers a lot of time really to just understand how to squeeze the best out of it. I think from the off with PS4 architecture it’s going to be easier to get results. The last thing we want as developers is stuff in the way of producing and creating experiences so that’s a massive plus.”  The Codemasters studio is raving about the hardware, and it’s getting me pretty excited for Grid 2.  It seems like they’re putting a lot of new features and content into their new project.  The next generation of systems will make a big improvement in gaming, and it seems like Grid 2 is one of the many games that will benefit from next gen hardware.
