Warner Bros. Interactive today announced that they are bringing one of the best Lego games to the Wii U. Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes will be making its’ way to the Wii U sometime this spring. The Wii U version will have some differences to it’s counterparts version; for instance the Wii U version supports “off-TV mode” for both single player and multiplayer co-op. According to the press release players will even be able to play the entire game on the GamePad if they want.

Wii U players will also be able to access a “enhanced” map on the GamePad, in addition to touch screen character selection. Lego Batman 2 is already available on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, 3DS, DS, Wii, PC, and MAC. Expect to see versions of Lego Batman 2 on the SNES, PS1, PS2, and Sega Dreamcast in the near future.

In other words, it wasn’t totally unexpected that game would probably make its’ way to the Wii U at some point. But it is good news for Wii U owners that they are at least getting some 3rd party support; hopefully we will see more of that in the future.
