One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 is almost ready to be released in Japan: the game looks better and better with each passing reveal and it looks like the good folks at Omega Force who are developing the game want to make sure that the fans of the manga and anime series will be satisfied by being able to play through the whole story, using all their favorite characters and special attacks.
The game will feature a lot of new elements which are going to improve the standard Dynasty Warriors formula: characters will be more diverse than ever, each one with unique combos and special abilities. Stages will get a complete makeover and the platforming sequences will be completely changed and improved.
A lot of new characters have been included and this time players will also be able to play as villains of the series: from the looks of things, this looks like it’s going to be the ultimate One Piece gaming experience.
A new trailer has been released by Namco Bandai, showcasing all the special attacks for many of the included characters: you can take a look at the video here.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 will be released on March 20 in Japan on Ps3 and PsVita and this summer in Europe and North America: western gamers will only be able to enjoy the game on Ps3.
