Tomb Raider is still a couple of weeks away, but the first review score of the game has already popped up, and it’s a positive one at that.  GamesMaster magazine has given the game a 90%, making it one of their top rated gams this year.  The magazine also mentioned how long the game is, stating that the main story missions will last you around 10-15 hours, but you can easily extend that with side tombs.  This is right around the same length as the Uncharted games, one of the game’s obvious inspirations.  The magazine went on to say, “Sitting back exhausted we were left with just one question dribbling forth from our gaping jaws. How on earth are they going to top this in the sequel? Because of one thing there can be no doubt. Lara is back.”

They obviously enjoyed the game, and it only heightened my enthusiasm for the game.  It’s coming out in the first week of March, which will be a packed week already.  The game’s embargo date lifts Monday, so you can expect a bevy of reviews from multiple gaming sites.  I think it’s safe to say that the game will be received well, and end up being one of the more successful titles of 2013.
