Final Fantasy XIV, after a shaky beginning two years ago, it’s ready to make a glorious comeback with the launch of the launch of A Realm Reborn, a true second version of the game, including all the improvements made over the years to the vanilla game and a lot of new content like classes, quests, locations and more. The game will also have an entirely new storyline which picks up after the ending of Final Fantasy XIV which saw the game’s world face an unprecedented crisis.

A Realm Reborn is slated to come out this Summer on Pc with a Ps3 version coming some months after: apparently the game could be coming on next gen consoles as well. In a interview with IGN, the producer Naoki Yoshida stated that while the Ps3 version is indeed coming, Squer Enix could decide to publish the game on other hardware as well: the PC version is capable on running on high spec hardware so porting the game and matching it to console specifications wouldn’t be a problem at all.

This really isn’t a confirmation by any means but still, a Final Fantasy title at launch on Ps4 would be doing great things for the newly unveiled hardware.
