Together with Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, there will be more Final Fantasy titles coming in the near future. And this not a rumor but almost a confirmed news as Shinji Hasimoto, one of the leads of the Final Fantasy series, has teased some kind of announcement regarding the series at yesterday’s Playstation Meeting.
After showcasing the Square Enix next gen engine, Shinji Hasimoto said that fans should be looking forward to this year’s E3 since a Final Fantasy announcement will be coming during the publisher’s conference.
With such an evident tease, gamers have been speculating what could be announced: let’s not forget that, other than Lightning Returns, there’s another Final Fantasy title still to be released. We’re talking about Final Fantasy Versus XIII, a game that’s been announced so many years ago and still far from release: the game has also been rumored to be cancelled but Square Enix denied these rumors, saying that the development of the game is still going strong.
Could it be that Versus XIII will be coming out on Ps4? As of now, it could be the most logical choice, with the next gen coming at the end of this year: a Final Fantasy game available on launch could do great things for the new Sony console.
