Any PSN user surely must have received some strange message on their own account more than once, stating that they would be getting free credit for the PSN store if they did some things or other on the network. Most of these messages are obviously false. With all this fake “free credit” messages going around, many gamers thought that the latest message going around is just as fake. However this time we’re in for a treat: Sony is indeed giving free 10$ credit for many PSN users.

The message actually states that the company is giving out 10$ credit to be used on the North American PSN Store to all loyal PSN customers: while it’s not yet clear what makes these users “loyal”, many gamers have actually found out that they have extra 10$ on their own PSN wallet. Check out your PSN inbox to find out if Sony considers you a “loyal” PSN customer and get the extra credit!

This looks like a nice way of celebrating the upcoming Ps4 announcement coming at today’s Playstation Meeting: Sony surely wants all players to be aware of the event and by doing so, they have found a nice way to do it by offering some real free stuff.
