Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is the first expansion for Dragon’s Dogma, a nice action role playing game released by Capcom last year. The expansion will be released on both Ps3 and Xbox 360, at retail and as a digital only release: included in the retail release is also the full game.
Today, Capcom has given us more details on all the additions to the game present in Dark Arise which will all affect the main game as well as the new area: based on players’ feedback, the developers have tweaked some of the most annoying elements of the game, allowing for easier travel between areas of the world and a more intuitive menu system. All the improvements will be applied to the game by simply importing the old Dragon’s Dogma save. A new difficulty mode has been added, making the game even harder.
Regarding the exclusive additions to the game, Dark Arisen adds an all new underground realm to explore and infested with over 20 new enemy types. New skills, equipment pieces and augments have been added, including new level 3 skills, new high level weapons and armors which will be required in the new underground realm since all the enemies will be quite powerful.
All the existing classes have been tweaked, now featuring a new tier of skills. New customization options have also been included with fourteen new pawns and related augments. As a final addition, players will be able to choose between english and japanese voiceovers.
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will be released on April 26 on Ps3 and Xbox 360.
