Quantic Dream, the folks behind the incredible PS3 game Heavy Rain and the upcoming title, Beyond: Two Souls, are apparently of the belief that idle hands are the devil’s playthings, because they are apparently already at work at their next title. Quantic Dream’s David Cage spoke with GamesIndustry about the upcoming Beyond: Two Souls and mentioned that he already has a whopping three projects all lined up and ready to be worked on for the future. They are finishing up work on Beyond, which should have a release date announced within short order, but according to Cage they have already begun development on their next project.
That means that post-Beyond there are three games in the preliminary stages, with one of course further along and will get their undivided attention after Beyond launches this year. Of course, the best laid plans can be easily spoiled, so don’t quote any of this as gospel just yet, the industry changes rapidly.
