The PC hit game, Terraria, will be available for console owners to enjoy this March, according to a 505 Games representative informing Joystiq. 505 Games, the publisher of Terraria, initially said that they were targeting a late February or early March release. It turns out that Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will be able to experience Terraria in March rather than February.
I have been wanting to try Terraria from a couch with a controller for a good time now and I’m glad I have a release window to look forward to. Many people would probably just say that Terraria is a Minecraft clone with its similar elements of exploration and mining, but 505 Games community manager Logan Rosenstein says otherwise. “Minecraft is a 3D crafting and construction game with RPG elements,” says Rosenstein in Joystiq’s hands-on preview while “Terraria is a 2D side-scrolling exploration RPG with crafting and construction elements”. So what do you think of Terraria releasing for Xbox 360 and PS3? Do you think it will see comparable success to its PC version?
