Yesterday there were hints that Bungie would finally unveil their long rumored project Destiny on Monday February 18th. However, today we have confirmation that Destiny will in fact be shown off a day early on Sunday, February 17th. An official Facebook page for Destiny has officially announced that February 17th will be the day the game is finally shown off.
A official Twitter account for Destiny has been created as well, with the same message that the game will be shown off for the first time on February 17th. Finally, while writing this article Bungie posted a link on their twitter page leading to the official news website for the game, where fans can go to check out all the latest information about the game.
It will be interesting to see if Destiny does turn out to be like the rumors suggest a MMO, how Bungie will adapt to the changing pricing structure of the MMO (most MMOs are going free to play).
As exciting as all this is, it is still a little disappointing that we more than likely will not be playing the game until 2014. A few days ago during Activision’s earning conference, they did not include Destiny into their 2013 financial forecast meaning the game is likely coming out next year and not this year.
