Team Meat has been teasing us through their blog week after week about their new, upcoming game Mew-Genics. Just last week, it was announced that Mew-Genics would be releasing on Steam, along with iOS and other unannounced platforms. So far though, they have been very good at keeping the details of this game secret. It’s been 15 weeks of teasers and all we still really know about the game is that it features cats. Lots and lots of cats.
In this week’s teaser, we get to hear the first full song from the Mew-Genics soundtrack, titled The Ballad of D.Claude. The song is created by the musical talent behind Mew-Genics, the band Ridiculon which is made up by Matthias Bossi and John Evans. You can listen to the song and/or buy it at any price from Ridiculon’s Bandcamp site, which also shows the lyrics in full.
The song is described as being about “the life of an alley cat from Boone County” and the lyrics, while being funny and very creative, still don’t give us too much info. Luckily, we won’t have to wait too much longer as Team Meat states that they will release one more teaser next week and then “spill the kitty beans on the project”.
