Sony has recently confirmed that MLB 13: The Show won’t be be Cross-Buy compatible, meaning that if you want to buy both the PS3 and PS Vita version of the game, you’ll have to buy each version of the game separately. This comes as know surprise to me, seeing as how each of these games are massive titles for their respective systems. The sony exclusive titles will help move a lot of units for the PS Vita, where its struggling at the most.
Sony released the following statement regarding the decisison, “MLB 13 The Show is not a part of the Cross-Buy program, however various retailers will be offering different bundled promotions similar to what was offered with last year’s MLB 12 The Show.” It won’t be hard to find these deals either, it’ll be safe to say that all the major retailers will be having deals involving both games. You can expect deals like, if you buy the PS3 version for $59.99, you can get the PS Vita version for only $19.99. This is what happened last year, and it was one of the big reasons why the game was so successful. If you own both systems, the deal will still be worth it, even though you won’t be getting the second version free.
