Aliens: Colonial Marines isn’t even out yet, and SEGA has already announced the first lot of DLC for the game. In fact, there will be four new add- on packs for the game, the first being titled Bug Hunt, as it grants players a new cooperative mode similar to the Horde Mode found in Gears of War. It was only a matter of time before the game adopted the popular mode, but it’ll be a whole new take on the mode. There will be three maps included in the pack, and they’ll be based on popular areas from the Aliens film. The add-on is currently planned for March, with the other three packs all coming by the end of August.
You can purchase each add on separately, or you can purchase the season pass for $30 dollars. You’ll save over 40% if you go that route, so if you know you’re going to get the DLC, the season pass is the best way to do so. You can’t purchase the season pass yet on consoles, but it is currently available on Steam. Aliens: Colonial Marines hasn’t been talked about nearly enough as I thought it would, but you can expect a lot more excitement for the game when it releases on February 12,2013.
